Switch between signed in Google Accounts on your smart TV or game console

Members of your household can add their own accounts, and guests can use YouTube signed out (guest mode). For example, when a video is recommended to a viewer – do they choose to watch it, ignore it, or click “not interested”? The goal is to get people to watch more videos they enjoy so that they come back to YouTube regularly. Any actions taken while signed out in guest mode won't affect your account’s recommendations. Then, we look at whether or not viewers stick around. YouTube’s search and discovery system caters to each viewer and their varying interests.

Open your channel or video

• Once you’re signed in, you can find your way around the YouTube app on your smart TV or game console.
• Videos are ranked based on performance and viewer personalization, including their watch and search history.
• Lastly, we look at whether or not viewers enjoyed the video using likes/dislikes and post-watch survey results.
• To manage a specific video, visit the Content page and click the video’s thumbnail.
• Sign in to the YouTube app to use features like watching paid content, subscribing to channels, and viewing your Library.
• On YouTube, viewers are matched to the videos they are most likely to watch and enjoy.
